Mega Millions draws take place every Tuesday and Friday evening at around 11pm EST in the United States. Mega Millions is a two-drum game, with the first drum containing numbers 1 to 70, and the second drum containing the numbers for the Mega Ball, which can be between 1 and 25. Each slip must contain five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball. Prizes start when either the Mega Ball or three main numbers are matched.

One of the world's greatest lotteries, Mega Millions has been responsible for some of the richest lottery payouts of all time. One of these was won in January 2012, when three lucky lottery players in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland shared an amazing jackpot of $656 million! Why not see if you can be a Mega Millions winner?

Where to Watch the Results

The live Mega Millions draw is broadcast throughout the USA, and takes place at WSB-TV studio in Atlanta, Georgia. For those who are unable to watch the live draw, the latest results are published online. If you can't wait, social media is also a great way to find out if you're a winner!

The Draw

Mega Millions uses two draw machines, known as Criterion II, to select the winning numbers. The first machine contains the numbers 1 to 75, from which five white balls drop as part of the winning combination. The second machine contains the Mega Ball, with numbers of 1-15, and one golden ball is randomly selected to form the final part of the jackpot combination.
